[Henry] Henry List

Mike and the list. Ted Shannon Henry went into the warehouse and found the
last two bandswitch hubs fore my original Henry 2K. Just have to work up my
nerve to put a new one in.

On the Henry 2K (this one is so early it does not have 75 and 80 as two
positions) the switch in the center is just a hub which switches two other
switches via a dial cord. The original hub is brased on. I used super glue
to hold it on for nearly 10 years. Right now I have the Henry in the 15
meter position and can work 15, 17, and 12 just by changing tune and load.
You get very close to max output by using the settings I have written down.
This is 1100 watts on 15 and 700 on 17 and 12. I try not to drive it too
hard
on 17 and 12 as I am sure its not as clean on harmonics as it is on 15.

I do have one question?? I was able to get the front panel to swivel back
some to get the super glue on with long nose pliers before. What is the
easiest way
to get the front panel off to do a complete replacement of the hub this
time. The owners manual is silent and I have learned to get the console
cabinet off to work on the power supply but still getting the front off is a
mystery.
