Hi Joachim,

We recommend 30 amp service, but for intermittant communications duty it
will draw a bit less.
The 5K is rated at 4000 watts output in communications service. Figuring
about 55-65% efficiency you can see that 25-30 amps are needed for full
power out.

The amplifier weighs about 200 pounds.

Subject: [Henry] Henry 5K Power Requirements

Hi Folks,
I have 240 Volts 16 Amps in my shack and can run my Henry 3KDP with it. I
could probably afford 20 or 25 Amps. Is that enough for a Henry 5K? We have
380 Volts in the kitchen for the oven and in the bathroom for hot water...Do
we need 380 Volts in shack?
How many people are necessary to bear a 5K? The stairs are limited to 300
pounds per step.
