For those of you who may use this website, I want to let you know I plan
to keep it up for a long time. When the time comes for me to walk away
from it, I'll look for someone else to take it over. I've been having
ISP problems lately and noticed yesterday that it wasn't even being
resolved. Don't worry, it's completely backed up locally. It works now
but index.html needs to be specified in the URL. The default is broken
but is being repaired. At least the site is current but I don't have ftp
access yet to make updates.
On another note, the website design is lots of static HTML code. With
growth it has become a bit time consuming to apply updates. Although I
am quite comfortable in generating HTML code (no WYSISWYG here), I
thought it would be a fun learning effort to enter all of the data into
an Access database. I'm just not sure what next to do with it. I have
the programming skills to create an app to read the database and create
the HTML files necessary but I suspect I'm missing something with that
approach. I would still end up with static HTML. BTW I don't enjoy using
CSS. Any thoughts or suggestions?
