Hi Joe,

Pete has outlined the trick of using back to back 6.3 volt filament transformers. I have done that with various voltages and it works very well. If you do not have space for two transformers you can buy 6.3 volt filament transformer with dual primaries. use one primary for 120 volts in and the other for the rectifiers into you B+. The idea behind the dual primaries is the option to wire the for 120 volt or 220 volt input. By some strange coincidence it fits into the space of just one transformer (evil grin). That saved my bacon when I needed a transformer for my VTVM.
