[Heathkit] Setting the Bias

Generally, they all mean the same thing.  You can add "final amplifier resting plate current" to these terms.  Most, but not all, "plate meter" positions on a meter switch actually read cathode current which is, again generally, much safer than reading true plate current because with true plate current, the meter has to be placed in the B+ lead to the plate of the tube(s) whereas cathode current is generally read with the meter connected, on the negative side, to ground.

With cathode current, unless the final amplifier tube(s) is / are triodes, you have to subtract the screen current to get the actual plate current.

Can some one tell me if all three of these are the same thing?

Bias voltage adjustment
Final ldle current
Final amplifier resting cathode current

Thanks
