[Heathkit] HG-10b vfo question

How are you powering the VFO?  It sounds like you are robbing the power from the transmitter and the voltage is dropping when you put the transmit in the operate mode.  Heath actually recommends powering the HG-10 / HG-10B from a separate, regulated, power supply.

Hello,

I’ve recently revived an HG-10b vfo.  Why would the frequency of the vfo shift about 700 hz between being on SPOT and being on OPR?  or is that normal?
