Good evening Gary and the group!
I have a question. Is there any interest amongst the membership in
obtaining SB-series touch-up spray paint and SB-series face plate touch-up
paint in a bottle?
I have just made purchases from two vendors on eBay for each. The spray
comes in a standard-size spray can for $22.97, "HEATHKIT LT Turquoise
CF-4680". The faceplate touch-up comes in a 10-oz. bottle for $10.00
"HEATHKIT GREEN".
Let me know and I can provide the links to this reflector, if Gary OK's it.

I have two of the above referenced tuners with BAD SWR/POWER meters. Has
anyone replaced these meter's circuitry with replacement SWR/Power circuitry
? Seems lightning must have got them. In one of the tuners, the meter
doesn't read and the switch smokes with 100 watts.
I use multiband? antennas on low bands and need to be able to use these
tuners on my several rigs.
Can anyone share their knowledge and experience with me on the problem ?
Thanks and 73, John, K5PGW

Fixing problems in old radios is a good exercise in deductive reasoning,
even if sometimes the clues don't lead in an expected direction.?? That was
the case when I ran into a phantom voltage in an HW-12 recently - a voltage
that couldn't be there according to the schematic - yet there it was!??? Go

I think this is a very unique situation but since the same type of PC boards
were used in many other Heathkits and other radios, I thought it would be
worth passing along, just in case someone else comes up against a similar
mystery.
