[Heathkit] [Glowbugs] Heath SB-110 or Swan-250

The easiest way is to lift the lid and look for V-9. On the SB-110 this tube is mounted on the chassis and on the SB-110A it is located on the carrier circuit board.

Also, when running the SB-110A from any of the HP-23 series power supplies, make sure and use the 250-volt low B+ setting and NOT the 300-volt setting. The unit will "lock up" in transmit when going to the tune position, when the PTT is keyed, and so forth if the 300-volt setting is used.

Hello Glen,

How can you tell which model you really have? Is there something relatively easy to look for which determines the 110 versus the 110A?

thanks,

Tom
