Hi, Friends! Small wonder the 21MHz band in my SB-102 won't peak...the
coil slug in the 21MHz Driver Plate coil form is MISSING! So, I need
either a slug or a spare-parts Board I can get a slug out of.

I would hope that the core material for these slugs is the same
throughout.

Can someone on the List help me with this little bit?

==================================

   I think you need to check to see if it started out with a slug, not
everything does/did, by asking others and looking at the construction
manual closely.

   You can judge the tuning by of a coil inserting the tip of a small hex
key (wrench) in it while operating it, then a small brass rod, one will
increase and the other decrease the inductance.

   You might be able to move a slug from elsewhere temporary to see if it
is really needed.

   As far as I know the coils in Heath equipment used the common slugs
found in many IF transformers of the same vintage. (powered iron)

   Never use a metal hex tool on these slugs, only use plastic tools.
   (or carve a loose one from wood)
