Thank you Glen,
A pair of 6DQ6B tubes is use din one rig. An 807 is used in the other.
Do I really want 815V DC on the plates when un-keyed?
Bry

What tube / tubes are used in the final amplifier stage? Most tubes used in the final stage of amateur radio transmitters that can handle 600-volts can handle the higher voltage from the Heath power supply without any problems. Under load the voltage should drop to between 700-volts and 750-volts.

Subject: [Heathkit] HP23A help
I have acquired an old HP23A that was upgraded professionally to become an HP23D
I was hoping to use this with my Millen and WRL rigs that require 600V B plus.
Unfortunately the Heathkit PSU supplies 815V DC no load!
Any ideas on how I can reduce this without reducing the 12V DC filament supply?
