[Heathkit] re SB-104 issue

I just got this email from my friend Dale who has an issue with his recently acquired SB-104. He’s getting severe distortion on transmit when transmitting with full output but all is ok when running the 1 watt output qrp mode. As per the attached photo, the alc board is missing L814 part number 40-1713. He’s looking for one of those plus could this missing part be causing the present distortion issue.
