Another option...if you have an MFJ antenna analyzer you could buy their GDO
coil kit (MFJ-66C) or even make your own coil.

I often have some GDOs for sale. I just sold a beautiful Heathkit GD1B with
extra coils.
A GDO is easy to come by...

I am considering getting a grid dip meter and am wondering how the heathkit
ones perform?  How are they to maintain? e.g are there any models that have
obsolete parts that cannot be obtained (at least not at a reasonable
cost/endless searching)?
I am not a 'collector'...I occasionally have use for one and figure it might
