[Heathkit] Strange SB-102 Problem

Not that uncommon.  You need to do the alignment with the cover in place.
If that doesn't work, then look for physical problems such as a bad solder joint, something shorting if the cover pushes on certain coils, etc. Glen, K9STH Website: http://k9sth.net

There is a coil cover that goes on the bottom and covers the various
heterodyne and output coils.  If the cover is not in place the transmitter
works but if you install the cover the transmitter dies.  Also, the MIC/CW
control acts weird.

 

Anyone experience this problem?
