[Heathkit] DON'T buy these banana plugs. . .

These look like one can unscrew (and separate) the banana part from the barrel. One
can then solder the test lead to the back of the banana part (I would expect a small hole
for the lead) and screw the barrel back on.

Hi All,
When I ordered my scope probes I also ordered some banana plugs and a
couple Banana plug/BNC adapters.

The adapters are OK, seem to be good quality.

HOWEVER, I should have read more reviews on the banana plugs. Yes, they
seem to be good quality, but for the life of me I can't figure out how
to install them on the end of a test lead without using a crimp-on spade
or ring connector on the wire and then putting that between the top
screw on section and the body. That's finally what I did.  I couldn't
get a good strong connection by putting the wire down the center of the
barrel, and the crimp-on connectors sticking out the side of the plug
are clumsy and look ugly. . .
