Does the back half unscrew from the front half?
Does the tip unscrew from the metal handle?
Frequently you put the wire down an angled hole and you screw the
thing back together and that binds the wire.
You should never use non-insulated banana plugs for electronics they
are OK for speakers and such. The hole is 4 mm.
