[Heathkit] SB-100 TX audio gain question

Sandy,
Make sure you are using a hi impedance microphone. The SB100 has a high
Z input requirement. The newer Lo Z microphones will not work correctly
with the tube type amplifiers in the SB100 without a matching
transformer. Other that that, it could be a bad capacitor or out of
tolerance resistor in the audio chain.
Good luck. These older radios seem to do this regularly it seems.
