HiDave,
You don't. There is a three pin connector on the rear that takes a three
pin plug. That is where you connect you paddles. Mine has two RCA
sockets on the back. One is for positive keying like most solid state
rigs have and the other is for negative keying lines in transmitters
with grid-block keying.
