DeOxit is not a lubricant. It is a cleaner.
Mobil 1 synthetic is a preferred lubricant among the R-390/A gang. Some mix in
a little WS2 (Tungsten Disulfide) with it. I don't know if this has been tried
in pots. I have used silicon grease and Teflon grease, but getting it in there
can present a problem. Caig makes a product called Faderlube specifically for
pots. Generally you want something that will not migrate and will not attract a
lot of dust and dirt. And of course will not damage the carbon track.
