Surplus Sales of Nebraska has a 1 Ohm, 5 Watt Panel Mount Pot for $8.00
(Stock # (RWV) LW1). You might have to do some metal-work to mount it,
but I suspect it would be easy to do... Maybe a small piece of aluminum
with a hole in it for the pot and another smaller hole for the mounting
stud...
