Simple minds do ridiculous things.

Look how many rigs are screwed up by those that haven't a clue!

I've restored a bunch of the older gear for those that thought they got 
a good deal.

Usually it means going through the radio looking for "modifications" of 
unknown etiology.  (IOW - They never had a clue.)

I find myself doing this for the code free "hams" that can't make an 
FT-101 series or TS-520 work.

Some fool had tried to put them on 11 meters.  There seems to be a LOT 
of these that turn up.
