[Heathkit] hw100 woes

okay men here is what I have found so far

the problem is 5 watts out on all bands, this sounds like the driver output to me

screen voltage was NOT present at finals, resoldered a connection and that is good now. ALL voltages check out fine now, both on rx and tx

If your looking down into the area around the final sockets, in the manual it shows THREE diodes in there, two for sure are part of the ALC circuit. ALL THREE have been clipped out.  I will get these put back in as soon as I can, work has been a real bear lately.

oddly enough, on the 21MC band I get 30 watts out for a brief moment last night then it fell away.

This rig was given to me by a local with a 'good luck', I'm determined to get it going. Its clean clean clean inside so was obviously in a non smokers home.

I'll keep ya posted. This one is gonna be a monumental effort I'm afeered..
