Exactly! :-)

If the buyer never opens the box, they believe they have a
valuable(?) un-built kit inside. If they open the box, they
find they have a bunch of old parts.

But which box did he open?

The one with the Heathkit inside? Or the one with the bunch
of old parts? (as I duck for cover)Or are they the same? :-)

Not sure if that exactly follows the cat paradox or not...

Might be less expensive, as one subscriber pointed out to me,
to just buy an empty box, and put it on the shelf to admire.
