Do a "saved search" on eBay to alert you immediately if the words "Heathkit GR-54" are posted.  That way you don't waste a lot of time searching needlessly.  They notify you when it is posted.

He said he already checked eBay and found some poor specimens there. You 
should have said "keep checking eBay".
