[Heathkit] Hfor sale Marauder transmitter for restoration or for parts

Folks, 

 

I have a Marauder I bought a few years ago as a project to restore, but due
to lack of time and the fact that I operate more on AM and CW than SSB, it
became surplus to my needs.

 

The transmitter is in good mechanical and cosmetic condition, with the
cabinet and with all the tubes in it. The catch is that the previous owner
started to do some modifications in it which are undocumented, and cut one
of the min wire harnesses under the chassis. The mods were not finished. In
order to restore the unit, the harness wires have to be traced, extended and
reconnected to the proper points. 

The transformers, inductors and the rest of the components are OK. The
electrolytic caps in the power supply should be tested and perhaps replaced.


At worst, it can be harvested for parts.

I'd like to get $150 for it plus shipping (it's worth much more than that in
parts). I'll pack it in a "gorilla proof" double box with high density foam
padding.

 

I thought I'd give first dibs to members of this group. If no takers, it'll
go to ebay.
