Subject: [VHFam] 10m AM - there won't be a better time for a long time!
In the last few days, 29.0-29.1MHz has been busy with US and Canadian AM stations at up
to S9+ for hours on end.
I managed to work K1IED on 10m AM when using just 2W to my halo this afternoon and got
an RS54 report. K1KW was also a cracking signal but my QRP could not break the pile up.
So, if you want to enjoy some exciting AM operating, get on 10m this week and enjoy the
good times while they last. Some believe we have already passed the sunspot peak and that
cycle 25 will be very weak indeed.
Conditions like this weekend may never return in our lifetimes after the next month or so.
Grab them!
There is a brief video clip on YouTube and on my blog of K1IED shortly after we worked. See
