[Heathkit] Restoration/Rebuild Questions

Phil,
Thanks for the excellent idea. However, after talking to a lot of folks, and doing a lot of thinking, I have decided that I really was doing this re-manufacture of the DX-60 for myself. Partially this is a result of a rig I saw re-done that looks like it just came out of a showroom at a friends shack.
When I re-manufacture the new to me DX-60, I will be re-plating the chassis in copper, black anodizing the aluminum shields around the 6146, and switching the tube shields for black ones. I'm also going to put in an 0A2 to control the voltage to the 6CL6 oscillator. I've also made up black tube markings for the chassis and a few other definitely NOT original changes.
When I'm done it will be the DX-60 that I will use. Then I can put on eBay the other one I already restored. For those die-hard collectors, that one is not re-manufactured just restored (replaced needed capacitors and resistors) but with a 3-prong plug. The front panel is near new condition and the chassis is pretty nice too. Thus it should get a fair price and will help pay for some of what I'm doing to the newer one.
Anyway, thanks to all for their comments and suggestions.
