[Heathkit] Restoration/Rebuild Questions

All,

I'm doing a complete rebuild of an original DX-60.  New 
capacitors, carbon comp resistors, new wiring harness, etc.. 
I will probably put it on eBay when I'm done.  

Now for the questions:

Should I rebuild the AC power chord into a modern 3-prong unit 
(w/ground) and a separate fuse, or just restore the original?

Should I plate the chassis (e.g. satin nickel) or just remove 
the stains and polish?

Should I add in some zener diodes to correct the voltage drop 
on the screen of V1 (the oscillator) which will eliminate the 
chirp issues on 20/15/10 or leave it original?

Any other suggestions for modifications e.g. the WC3K audio 
mods,  that would benefit the sale?
