[Heathkit] DX-60 VR Tube Mod

Although the power transformer in the DX-60 is not running on the ragged edge like the DX-40 and over the edge like the DX-35 and can provide power for the HG-10 series or VF-1, Heath still recommends, in the HG-10 manual, to use a separate power supply to power the VFO.  I have found that 150 volts regulated works very well for these power supplies.  Doing so definitely helps eliminate chirp.

Ken,

It may also be the version of the DX-60 and the HG-10 VFO.

The "B" models of each don't seem to have the same problem.
