Take a look at:

That's an SB-220 without its cabinet that sold for $700+ on ebay and
then the next day was back listed again with a Buy It Now of $550.

I asked the guy if he had the cabinet for it and he said "It's in its
cabinet". I sent him a photo of a real SB-220 in a real cabinet and
he replied that his was in a "custom" cabinet.

I am actually looking for an SB-220 on which I can replace the front
panel with a rack mount panel and rack mount it (see my page on
QRZ... I'm looking for something to replace the rack-mounted 30L-1
currently mounted above my Marauder). Thus I really don't need the
cabinet, and the front panel can be all scratched and gouged up for
all I care since it will be replaced anyway.

My question, though, is... does this one on ebay really show what the
SB-220 looks like when it's outside of its cabinet? In other words,
is the SB-220 sufficiently shielded that it can be safely and
correctly run while outside of its cabinet?

Thanks...
