What follows are quotations from the correspondence that KA9FOX, Scott
Neder, the Owner of 'mailman.qth.net' and I exchanged yesterday and today.

If any of you disagree with Scott's position regarding the inclusion of
links to EBAY being posted on this list, please write directly to him! Not
I! He is the man in charge!

Hello Scott, KA9FOX

What is your position as the Owner of the 'mailman.qth.net' mail lists
regarding subscribers posting links to interesting, rare or cosmetically
attractive items on EBAY?

Additionally, what is your position regarding a list subscriber posting a
link, or links, to EBAY for items they are currently personally offering
forsale?

Response from owner Scott Neder, KA9FOX -

I do not see anything wrong with posting links to interesting equipment for
sale on eBay. If an interesting Heathkit item is there, and someone is
looking for that item, they will likely be appreciative.

I would also have no problem if the person posted a link to an item for

sale on eHam, QTH.com or QRZ.com. None of those are non-profit, either.

"Scott. What about a list subscriber posting a link, or links, to EBAY for
equipment that they are currently offering forsale?"

Scott's reply -

I would run your lists however you see fit. But do not specify that it's a
QSL.net/QTH.net rule. I do not feel that it is a problem, for the reasons
already given. If the item for sale is pertinent to the list in question,
then it's fine. If the item in question doesn't belong on that list (is not
a benefit to the subscribers) then it shouldn't be allowed. I don't care if
it's eBay, QTH.com, eHam, QRZ, Craigslist or a personal sale.... I don't see
an issue. Our site exists to benefit ham radio. Putting sellers of ham radio
gear in touch with buyers of ham radio gear seems like a good idea to me.
