Good words. The current technology gives us super fast processors and nearly unlimited memory so software developers have learned how NOT write efficient software. I can remember when a 1 meg memory system was a big system and they ran an entire operating system with it and very efficiently.  Current operating systems, like Windows have way too much overhead.
