I remember working VS9MA back about 1960 and he used a DX-40U.  Totally 
different front panel from the DX-35 I had as a novice.  The DX-40U made it 
to the Dx column in QST along with VS9MA.

On a trip over to the UK many years ago I went to a rally (what they call 
hamfests) and there was a dealer there with Heathkits many of which were no 
longer made in the USA.  I remember the DX-100U had some of the same pattern 
as that DX-40U and was available as wired or in kit form.
