[Heathkit] British Heathkits

Why do they British Heathkits look so different?  I knew the reason once, 
but have since forgotten.  I do know they were kitted in GB.  Maybe someone 
has a better memory then me.  Something tells me it had something to do with 
using British parts.

PS:  I took my twelve DX-100 chassis parts to a re-plater today to have all 
of them stripped and re-plated nickel.   They should be ready for pick up 
next week.  Trust me, it is not cheap!  I don't even want to think about the 
final investment building it up again as a new kit with new parts.
