   I consider a regular very linear amplifier to have about a 30 percent efficiency, but if it is a 
grounded grid design, the initial drive passes through and is added to that from the amplifier so 50 
percent might be possible.  (if the amplifier's gain is low)
   Doherty and other kinds of amplifiers (like class "E") do have better efficiency than 30%.
I'm not sure how well a class AB2 amplifier can do in the "very linear amplifier" arena.
