Actually Mike, the credit is all Ian's KD6SE. If it had not been for your
post, We never would have known about this. It's better than when Radio
Shack closed out the popular HTX-420 & sold em all at a fraction of retail.
UV-3R Very affordable little package . http://tinyurl.com/6p2bbt6
I'm ordering 2 today from another supplier..... Think I'll go with the
camouflage color.
Great for the whole family to have in case of emergency to monitor police ,
fire , weather and FM broadcast as well as the local ham repeaters plus a
built in flashlight all for under 50 bucks. And If you have a license ( easy
to get) you get a cool 2 watts of transmit power whick will hit repeaters up
to 50 miles away. The UV-3R radio has some big brothers too for sale and a
Yahoo group with great reviews .Google it. or Ebay it.
Thanks to Ian KD6SE
