Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about DX-100 capacitors. Based on Lee's research, I must have a late model "B". I replaced the 68 pF with the 1000V CDE part and had no issues during limited testing. Output power on 80 meters looks spot on. I have kept the radio stock other than limited capacitor changes in the audio section, a three wire power cord, and separate fuses for the LV and HV transformers (2A and 3A slow blow respectively).

I lashed together a microphone and listened on a local receiver, the audio sounded good. I have abundant mic gain and needed to keep it low to stay in bounds on modulator current.

Other than trying some VFO changes (OA2 to OB2, 6AU6 to 6AH6), this rig is about ready to go back on the air. Not bad for ~ 50 years !

73s,
