[Heathkit] DX-100 Capacitor Question

On some versions the capacitor in question IS a 68pf, as listed in the parts list.

It did not come from somewhere else in the transmitter as there are no 68 pf capacitors anywhere in that transmitter. Look at you schematic and also look at the parts list. No 68 pf listed as used anywhere and the schematic shows .001 as does the parts list.
