[Heathkit] problem with 101

 I rebuilt my 102 and updated the supply with the heath kit shop board. The rig works fairly well,but tuning us a problem. It VERY hard to tune in a USB//LSB station. what I mean is the point of where the station is clean and sounds good is so narrow, that it almost impossible to get that point.The rig seems to act like the agc is not right,but the S meter works fine. Can any one lead me in the right direction on this>
