[Heathkit] Microphone Needed

There never was a truly "official" microphone for the HW-101.  However, the Heath HDP-21A, HDP-121, and the HDP-242 were all sold by Heath sometime during the HW-101 production.  The HDP-21A is really the Electro-Voice 638, the HDP-121 is the EV 619, and the HDP-242 was made by Astatic (same company made the D-104 series).

One reason that Heath used the EV microphones was that the Electro-Voice plant was about 15 miles east of St. Joseph, Michigan (the Heath plant was actually in St. Joseph, Michigan, on Hilltop Road - mailing address was Benton Harbor) in Buchanan, Michigan.
