[Heathkit] Running the HX-10 Marauder outside its cabinet

No!  Not exactly.

The DX-100B uses the same cabinet as the Apache, etc., and it is a single color gray, not a two-tone.  The cabinet came from the factory in one piece.

The original DX-100 cabinet is a bit larger and does have rounded corners.  This cabinet came from the factory in 9-pieces and had to be assembled by the kit builder.  This cabinet is two-tone.  The four horizontal rounded pieces were a lighter shade of gray and the ends and the perforated gray panels were a darker shade of gray.

But doesn't one of the DX10o variants have a rounded, two tone gray caibet and the other
one a square cornered, two tone green cabinet like the Marauder etc.?
