[Heathkit] Running the HX-10 Marauder outside its cabinet

Good afternoon...
Just wondering if it is safe, from a TVI / RFI perspective, to run
the Heath HX-10 Marauder outside of its cabinet. I want to
rack-mount it in a standard 19" rack, and of course can't do that if
it's in its cabinet.
The DX-100B (at least, the one I have) doesn't have any internal
shielding and so the cabinet is an integral part of the shield, so
running it outside the cabinet is likely to result in some seriously
irritated neighbors. It appears, though, that the final amplifier
section of the HX-10 is completely enclosed in its own shield and so
perhaps I can get away with it.
Of course, the mounting holes on the sides of the Marauder panel
don't match up with a standard rack (why, oh WHY did they do that???)
but I guess that's nothing that a power drill and 10-32 tap (for the
rack, not for the Marauder panel) can't fix.
