As long as you dont mind the higher noise figure.
The 6922 is the premium version of the 6DJ8 and was what I used in
converters before I was able to get a new WE 417A, 406 and 396 and built a
W2AZL clone for 2M. I still have that and it measures a respectable 1.8dB
NF. Not bad for 40's technology!

However, a 6BZ7 or 6BQ7 works fine in those converters.

Hi Guys,
I was looking at the schematic for the Heath SB-style 6-meter receiving
converter, & saw that it uses a dual-triode 6DJ8 tube...
Why in the world would this seemingly simple tube command the high prices
that it (apparently) does on eBay...? Is it yet another in a series of
"...audiophile gems", or what...?
