I lived in Trenton MO at the time and trips to Kansas City were a rare
treat... mainly to visit the Federal Building for a license upgrade to
General for me or my buds. I ran with a pack of new hams at the time.
I visited McGee Radio every time I went just to "window shop", but
couldn't afford to buy much. I loved the place... I wasn't on first
name basis with the proprietor, though.

Surplus Shops like that were great... we need more of them. I found a
couple just like it in St. Louis and one in Dayton OH over the years...
Dusty, dark, and a treasure to be found in every nook!

Ahh, memories!
