[Heathkit] RE BOAT ANCHORS IN THE MOVIES.

One of my favorite movies is "The Caine Mutiny" being as I am kinda partial to the navy. In the room where they hold meetings etc, ward room I think, there is what looks like a radio of some kind on top of a stand that is usually behind the captain. I have the DVD, have watched it several times but don't know just what that radio is. Does anyone on the list know? There is a second one of the same that is located in a different part of the ship that is seen breifly in at least one scene. Looks somewhat like a microwave oven but pretty sure that even the US navy did not have microwave ovens at that time, (1943).
