[Heathkit] Vintage Rigs On The Silver Screen

Hi Duane,

I recall a short-lived action-adventure series on TV in the late 1970s
or early 1980s called "Code R." It was about a marine (as in water, not
the USMC) search and rescue team that had lots of gratuitous shots of
fast boats in sunny beach areas. The dispatchers in the show used a very
nice vintage Heathkit TX/RX set. It might have been the Apache/Mohawk
pair. Every time the dispatcher sent out a call, those Heathkits filled
the screen with their pale green glory. It was a site to behold for a
radio-smitten teen-ager.

73,
Dave ND3K
