[Heathkit] shipping.. an old sore spot

I wouldn't blame the delivery company.

We're all aware of the rough handling our packages may be subjected to
occasionally, so the answer is to pack the item properly. The damage
you described could have easily been avoided with proper packing.
Short of receiving a package that was flattened by being run over by
the delivery truck, I'd say it's the Seller's responsibility. That's
what's in my mind whenever I ship an item. I finally documented my
shipping method on my website at www.k9ew.us under Projects / How To
Ship A Boatanchor. It's very similar to what's in the ARRL Handbook.
I've *never* had an item damaged that I've packed, and this includes
an HRO-60, HQ-170, and SX-100.
