Oops...I got a few complaints from members not being able to find the referenced text. Because the document is divided between 2 PDF's, the pagination of the document does not match that of the PDF. The document page is 110. The PDF page is 27.

I can envision a 6GW8 version having an additional gain stage to replace the 6GW8's triode as well as the pentode, plus a power resistor to take up the heater current to keep SB/HW heater strings balanced.
Or, hybridizing the concept to address aesthetic concerns, an adaptor having a soiled-state triode replacement inside, and a 6AQ5 or 6BQ5 sticking out the top..."
