[Heathkit] HW100 trouble - the short version

I sincerely apologize for my previous lengthy dissertation, in an
attempt to be as thorough as possible concerning the dilemma following
the power supply failure. I created an unnecessary annoyance and am
truly sorry.

At this point, the receive section could not be better on all bands.
The xmit section works great on 20M and 15M but I expect 80M and 40M
to work fine as soon as I replace the broken slug. I loosly coupled a
sig gen to the input on all bands and all bands worked fine.

On any 10M band position the xmit tuning is almost impossible. The
final tank tuning is way off the front panel markings. Power out is
limited to 10W max, then the relay starts chattering. I did neutralize
on 20M with no trouble and also set the CXR null.

The trouble MUST be in the xmit-only area of the radio but I cannot
find where it is. What works only in xmit? It is not the bias setting,
not the finals, not the driver neutralization wire, not T1. Any new
ideas?

Thanks and 73, Dick KF4NS
