[Heathkit] Fw: Chippewa Update

Good morning Guys!
  Just wanted to give a quick update on the Chippewa. After a lot of cleaning of the chassis, switches, etc. it looks much better. I lubricated the blower motor, and carefully got it un-stuck, and it's working FB. I've replaced the 1 meg resisters in the multi meter circuit, and the adjustable resister in the VR string. I have added current limiters to the HV primary (thanks again John K5PGW for the article!!), and a fuse for the bias and fillament xfmrs. I've tested the meters and they both work. The low voltage came up just fine, even the delay relay works as it should. I finally tried out the HV the other day, and again it looks OK. I'm seeing about 3100 volts on the meter, and the VR tubes are firing. So......I've got the RF deck in the house, in the shack, and am going to get some help later today to get that monster PS in the shack. I've got all of the cables, so hopefully soon I'll be telling all of you that it's alive and well. Thanks again to

Hi Guys,
 A few weeks ago, I picked up a Chippewa linear along with the matching power supply. Both units are in great cosmetic condition. I am going through and cleaning, lubricating, and doing an overall check of these things. Just wondering if anyone could give any specific advice for bringing up and/or operating these units. I do have both manuals. I will probably use them with my Marauder, at least to begin with. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
