[Heathkit] Regulator for PS-9000 Power Supply

I have a PS-9000 that I recently acquired with exactly the same
problem.  If you find a replacement part, I'd be interested.  I think
I've shaken all the trees, however.

I was just about to build a little PWB with an LM317 and a PNP driver
transistor something like:

I think that can be added while leaving the unit in restore-able 
condition.
